Teo Poșta believes she was never the so-called naturally artistic child but rather became one. She is probably the most atypical CONCENTRIC artist, as she is a Political Science student. For her, what she does in the studio isn’t much different from what she did as a child when she taught herself to make dolls and clothes for dolls.

SERGEY is getting ready for bed. Being hyperactive, he finds it hard to get into bed, always looking for something to arrange in the room or around the bed. Finally, he gets under the blanket, almost forgetting to set the alarm on his nightstand. Before turning off the light, he also puts on an eye mask.

SERGEY (after turning off the light): “There, now let’s dream.” ”

(excerpt from the play The Golden Fish, by the same artist)

“I don’t think I was ever the so-called naturally artistic child; I became one. Interestingly, no adult’s discovery of my possible talent ever compared to my own realization of what I was capable of. In short, not only did I want to work completely independently, but I also wanted the main critics and consumers of my art to be, surprisingly, me.”

“Fortunately, I have evolved a lot in the meantime. What I do at CONCENTRIC is, for me, the result of a collective effort that began long before I appeared on the scene and will continue even after I leave it. An endless cycle.”

“I never really liked to draw or paint. What I loved most was making clothes for dolls. Always self-taught, I have nonetheless come to experiment with nearly all possible or impossible artistic mediums—the newest on the list being music production.”

“Who knows, maybe soon we will see clothes that sing on the streets…”
